So, You Need a Website...

And you've never had one before: I can walk you through the process of obtaining web space, registering a domain name (usually your web host will do this automatically) and deciding on the best package for your needs. I don't provide internet service, so I have no interest in selling you more bells and whistles than you need. I'll always help you find the best deal available.

And you have an existing site that needs work: I am happy to make large or small updates to existing sites--anything from a complete makeover, to a few design tweaks or reorganization, to an occasional update of information, leaving your original design unchanged.

What I don't do:

Programming: I used to offer it, but my programmer moved on to other endeavors.
Work with Content Management Systems.
Editing audio or video files: I never studied it. Please send audio and video files that are ready to be uploaded as is, or only need to be converted to a web-appropriate format.
Work from pre-existing templates: I design each site from scratch based on your input.

How I charge:

By the hour. I do not charge for consultation, whether in person, on the phone, or by email. I charge affordable hourly rates for my design services, in increments as small as five minutes. You don't get charged extra if you need an update that only takes a few minutes. I don't charge by the page as some designers do because pages vary widely in complexity: design of a first page takes longer than subsequent pages which are based on it; pages incorporating animation or multimedia may take longer than those with just text and images.

I do not accept credit cards--personal checks are fine.
